Exhibition....22nd May 2010

Hey guys, I have some work in an exhibition to celebrate the anniversary of Rossetti and Siddal's wedding at St Clements Church, Hastings. I have been interested in the Pre-Raphaelites since school so really wanted to create something to commemorate the event. The piece is slightly different form my normal work but there is still a big focus on line. I wanted to capture the romantic nature of the period as well as the patterns seen more in William Morris' work. The piece includes figures, something I'm always pretty scared of attempting!!

The Private View is on Saturday 22nd May, I'll put some pictures on photo's up after.

I LOVE HASTINGS!

Been busy recently drawing 'iconic' Hastings buildings. I am using the term iconic very loosely! They are images that I believe scream Hastings. So..... soon I will be uploading stacks of illustrations showing sea breeze battered fish huts; back street alley pubs; lopsided houses.... You get the idea!

I'm hoping to use the final images in an exciting summer project. Watch this space!

FFFFFound!!!!

Ironically I haven't found an invitation for ffffffound. This is rather upsetting to say the least; I spend more time on ffffound than on my actual work ( boring 9-5 work not art work). It's not my birthday or anything but an invite would be fffffantastic.

I think I'm falling in love with Gemma Correll. Her work is pretty awesome and I'm seriously considering copying her...
