Getting loads of views on this blog atm thanks to the London Graphics show.
HELLO! I hope you're enjoying the view.
I don't want to beg, but please follow me - it'll make me do more work! Maybe.

Check This Out
Currently showing in 'Shop Art' at the London Graphic Centre. They seem to have changed the blurb I gave them, can you tell I'm a little annoyed... humpff.
Well come have a look, you missed the free booze, but it's about the art right?

It's my party...
So, I'm taking part in a street party next month in Hastings. That's if I can get enough work together. Realisation that I've only got a month hasn't happened yet... fool.
I'm thinking of selling some prints because of the positive response I've had to my London ones. Here's one mock up. I'm not sure if this is what the Hastings crowd will go for. Here's hoping.

Sentimental stuff
Coming up to three years that I lost my lovely nan. I'm moving house at the mo and whilst sorting through stuff I found something that reminded me of her. It upsets me that she just missed me finishing uni and making the move to London. Gladys Maud Mabel, missing you always x x x

"Earnestness is criminal" Get over it

Too big to upload but everyone should watch this. I totally love this man. He speaks so much sense, to me anyway. His opinions and works are very accessible - I really respect this. Anyway, watch it.

Hand Drawn Ceramics
I've been helping the artist Esther Coombs with various bits and bobs for about a year now. Her work focuses on up-cycling ceramics. She produces absolutely amazing cake stands. She's always telling me the importance of making work functionable. So, I've embraced the world of hand drawn ceramics! I hope I've stamped my own style on to it. I hope to produce a Hastings/seaside themed range for the xmas craft fair I've got coming up in December. Watch this space!

The show must go on...
Last night was the private view for 'On Essence'. There was a great turn out - thanks peeps!
I'm really pleased with the way the works turned out, it's the first time I've got my work professionally printed and you know what, I'm gonna do more! One thing I need to work on is paper curling, grrrr. Maybe frames next time.
One conversational point was about whether I should start drawing straight onto the letters. There are many advantages to this - actually having an original being one of them. I'm still slightly scared to go all the way though. I'd be forever changing something that already has such a history, a depth. Am I good enough?...

211 Walworth Road

From the 7th-10th October I will be taking part in a group show at the Rag Factory, off Brick Lane, London. I've been making work for a couple of weeks now, eventually using some of the imagery I found from Portobello.
211 Walworth Road is a series of prints based on past and current. I have layered old letterheads and receipts from the 1930's and 40's with illustrations of current day Walworth Road. I have used the addresses from the receipts and drawn what is now in its place. This is
my way of stoking memories.
